Letter to Parents

22nd June 2020

Year 1 to 10 and Year 12

Dear Parent,

It is hard to imagine that we are just two weeks away from the end of the summer term, and indeed the end of the academic year 2019-20. It has been an eventful year to say the least, and on behalf of us all at Stover I would like to say thank you for your support and help in making the online learning provision work so well. There are a lot of tired pupils (and teachers) out there at the moment – but the impetus for everyone’s learning has not been lost.

The full timetable of online lessons will continue next week, from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June, and pupils in Years 7-10 and Year 12 are expected to register twice a day and attend all lessons on time – as normal.

In the final week of term, starting on Monday 29th June, lessons will run as normal in the mornings from Monday to Thursday, but in the afternoons there will be a selection of activities and ‘virtual’ experiences for pupils to choose from. On the last day of term, on Friday 3rd July, there will be a virtual Prize Day starting at 10.00am. After this, bar perhaps one or two bits of housekeeping, term will end. Reports will be e-mailed out shortly afterwards.

A date for your diary is the evening of Tuesday 23rd June, when the postponed Teigngrace Music Concert organised by Mr Tizzard, will be online.

Once again, thank you for all your support – it really is greatly appreciated.

Best wishes,

Jeremy Stone

(Deputy Head)
