Year 7 pupils have been enjoying the last of the summer weather on their
Residential this week at Hearn Field, Combeinteignhead. The children
have been sleeping in comfortable bell tents in groups of about 6. The
trip was planned early in the academic calendar, to enhance the pupils’
induction into the Senior School and to encourage strong bonding as a
new year group.
The residential is organised by “Reach Outdoors”, an outdoor adventure
specialist based in Paignton. The programme involved an exciting mix of
activities, challenges and opportunities to learn new skills. Activities
included rock-climbing and abseiling on Dartmoor, coasteering and
kayaking in Torbay, archery, team building and bushcraft. It was a
fantastic experience.
