Year 13 Study Leave Begins

3rd June 2019

Final exams for GCSE, A2 and equivalent courses will start on Monday 13th May, and run through until late June – depending on which subjects are being studied.

Pupils in Years 11 and 13 will therefore, have periods of Study Leave, to help them prepare for their exams. There is no Year 12 Study Leave.

Year 13

Study Leave starts on Monday 3rd June (i.e. after the Summer Half Term break). Some pupils will have exams in the two weeks preceding the holiday, and teachers of other subjects will work around these as necessary. There will be no formal lessons after 3rd June, although individual teachers may run extra revision or help sessions during this period.

After their final exam, Year 13 pupils are free to leave Stover, but must let Form Tutors or House Parents know of their plans. The Stover term ends at 1-00 pm on Friday July 5th, and Year 13 pupils are welcome to join in with school events up until this time e.g. Sports Day on Friday 21st June, and Senior School Speech Day and Prize Giving on Friday 28th June.
As we need to know who is in school at any time, it is extremely important that all day-pupils sign in and out of school in the School Office, in the normal way, during the Study Leave/examination period.
