The Easter break saw no time for relaxation in Stover Prep School. Our Estates team worked hard to realise further improvement in the school site and its facilities and the Preparatory School buildings continue to be an area of focus. Reconfiguration upstairs in the Clockhouse has resulted in two new, fully refurbished, well-proportioned classrooms for our Year 5 groups. Work has been progressing on a new teaching space for our Reception Class and essential work has begun on a full dining space for the Preparatory School which we hope to be ready for the beginning of the Autumn Term.
The ICT suite has been refurbished, Turkey Hall re-decorated and various other doors, walls and ceilings being freshened up. The team have continued the programme of improvement with more energy-saving measures. We have continued to add to our technology provision, with a huge number of laptops and charging units now available.
The result is a massive transformation and has set the tone for future refurbishments across the site.
The project will be completed by a combination of the in-house maintenance team and a number of our preferred contractors, who are pulling out all the stops to get the job finished before September.
