Head of Preparatory School Announcement

20th November 2018

Dear Parents and Friends of Stover,

Firstly, I would like to say how excited I am to be joining Stover as Head of the Preparatory School in September 2019.

I have spent the majority of my life living and working in Devon. I attended Manor House School in Honiton, Kelly College in Tavistock and then Colyton Grammar School before attending university. Since graduating, I worked both in the private and public sectors before entering the Educational sector. Within education, I have worked in both state and private schools and I have more recently been the Head of the Junior School, at St John’s International School in Sidmouth, and I am currently the Head of Juniors at Millfield Prep School in Somerset.

I know that I am joining Stover at a very exciting moment in its history with Richard Notman having significantly grown the school community and David Burt having laid some very modern and solid foundations in the Preparatory School. I wish David all the best in the Isle of Wight and I would like to thank Matt Appleby and the management team for the excellent job they will do, overseeing the leadership of the school in the interim period.

Myself and my family – Lucy, my wife, and my 2 boys, Eli and Ezra, who will be joining the school in Year 4 and Reception respectively, will be moving back to Devon in the Summer and we are very much looking forward to meeting you all in the near future.

Kind regards,
Ben Noble
