Preparatory Performing Arts
At Stover Preparatory School there are many opportunities for pupils to develop their skills in music, drama and the arts. Within the curriculum, music and drama are taught by specialist teachers. Led by the Head of Music, our Preparatory School Choir performs at school plays, music festivals and various events. Our youngest pupils in the Pre-Prep Department can also take part in their own choir led by the Preparatory School music teachers.
Additionally, many pupils take advantage of our excellent range of peripatetic lessons. Most instrumental and voice lessons are taught on a one to one basis, whilst speech and drama tend to be offered in small groups to develop performance skills. Instruments taught include: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, brass instruments, all string instruments, drums, orchestral percussion, piano, keyboard, voice and guitar. All pupils take part in at least one major school production annually.
