Stover is an independent, day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 10 - 18 years. Set in sixty acres of beautiful grounds, Stover enjoys the benefits of a rural location but has the advantage of an excellent transport network by road rail or plane.
Stover provides a supportive, hard working, happy and purposeful atmosphere in which pupils live and learn. There is an emphasis on regular work habits and sound learning, encouraging creativity and independent thought. There is a sense of community based on mutual trust, respect and consideration for others.
Pupils learn about themselves at Stover just as much as they learn for academic tests and examinations and we encourage participation and the enjoyment of new experiences as keystones to building confidence and ambition.
Our academic results are impressive by any standards. Stover is committed to a mixed ability entry and yet, each year, 100% of our sixth form enter Higher Education. Stover regularly achieves a high pass rate at GCSE, often twice the national average. Stover welcomes girls and boys not only with a high academic ability and potential but also those with special talents and aptitudes whose contribution to school life is equally valuable.
