    • The Friends of Stover -  Fundraising Donations

We were delighted to announce that last term we were able to donate the following to school:

£1050.00 for library books, under 9 hockey goalie kit, table tennis barriers and three cameras.

£960 for the vegetable garden, greenhouse repairs and pagoda.

      £260 for Home Economics equipment.

£600 for the Nursery 'home corner'.

£385 contribution came from Stoodley Knowle; it was used for outdoor furniture for the 6th form outside space.

£508 for the Spiritual Garden seating and £216 for plants.

In total £3,979 was used to enhance our beautiful school and grounds!

At the end of last year we held our usual superb firework display, this time with warming mulled wine! The Christmas Fair was another huge success. Finally, the pantomime was a huge hit with both parents and children. All these events raised further funds of around £3200 which is an excellent result.

At the start of the Spring Term, the Friends of Stover have just donated another £9360 for the benefit of the pupils. This includes 30 Chrome books at £6,000.00, Cricket nets at £2,500.00 and £860 for a Biosphere, a new camera and learning support aids which were supplied via the new teacher request forms.

Without the valuable support of parents, guardians, friends, family, teachers and staff, these events would not have been as successful as they were, so we wish to say a big thank you!

There are numerous plans ahead for further enhancement of the school and we ask that if anyone has any free time to help in any way, can they please contact us by email: FOS@stover.co.uk  We would be delighted to hear from you!

  • The Friends of Stover - Annual General Meeting
    • The Friends of Stover Annual General Meeting will take place at 5.00 pm on Tuesday 27th September.

Friends of Stover (FOS) is looking forward to a new and exciting term with lots of social and fundraising events. FOS is comprised of parents and members of staff volunteering our time for the benefit and support of the pupils and Stover School community. The money raised is used to enrich both the learning, recreational and spiritual environment at the school. Friends of Stover meet a few times a year and liaise with the school to assist in trying to raise funds for those things that the school budget does not cater for – those nice to have’s not “must haves”. Last year it has raised over £12,000 that has already gone to improving all aspects of the school. It is a great way to get to know parents and staff in both prep and senior school. Everyone is welcome at our meetings and coffee mornings. We value all help, if you can only give a limited amount of time, or have a particular skill like cooking, writing, designing, decorating etc. Or if you have a business that can provide support for the committee we would love to hear from you. Contact us at fos@stover.co.uk.

Our AGM is on the 27th September at 5pm in the Blue Library (Mansion House). Please come along – there will be no obligation to volunteer for anything, but you will get an insight into the many ways in which the Friends provide much-valued support for our school.
