High 5 Sports Camps provide children aged from 5 – 15 Years the chance to experience and enjoy a diverse range of multi-sports and outdoor activities during the school holidays.

The camps are run by a team of highly experienced, professional sports coaches from a wide variety of different sporting backgrounds. These Ofsted registered holiday camps provide an excellent opportunity to keep your children healthy, active and having lots of fun during school holidays and importantly also provide sports based childcare if you have work commitments during holiday periods.

Throughout the week, everyone at the camps will get the opportunity to learn new games and develop their skills and confidence in their abilities in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. As well as the opportunities offered on site, all children aged 8 years and over will be invited to take part in additional activities provided within the local area which include Rock Climbing, Caving, Laser Battles, Paintball, Surfing, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Canoeing and more.

To ensure our younger guests do not feel left out, High 5 also invite guest instructors for sports including; Trampolining, Tag-Rugby, Fencing, Archery, Taekwondo and African Drumming onto the site to share their knowledge and experience with the children and let them try their hand at an even more varied range of additional sports, some that they might not have previously tried.

It is not only a diverse range of sport that takes place at the camps. They also have their own resident outdoor pursuits and survival expert ‘Survival Steve.’ He offers a whole host of fun and challenging experiences to everybody from Team Problem Solving, Archery, Navigation,

Den and Shelter Building to Wild Cooking, Fire Lighting, Dartmoor Exploration, Mountain Biking, Rifle Shooting and so much more.  Steve and what he offers adds a whole other dimension to the camps and his activities, energy and ‘out the box thinking’ prove very popular during every week of camp.

In case you are starting to think that your child might not be able to keep up with the pace of a day, High 5 also offer weekly themed Arts and Craft activities each afternoon. These are always provided for the 5-7 year age group with the option for any children aged 8 years and over to also enjoy if they choose to.

As you would expect with any provision at Stover School, the camps are registered with Ofsted and so it goes without saying that there is always a fully qualified first aider on site, all coaches are DBS checked, Lead coaches all hold a minimum level 2 coaching qualification in their main sport and everyone involved is very experienced at working with children within sport.

More detailed information including an online booking facility can be found on their website and they also have a very active Facebook page ‘high5 sports camps’ which is kept up to date with all the latest news and information about what is on offer.

Ben Knight, their Camp Manger is always available to talk to any families in greater detail so you can contact him on 07812 585992 if you have any questions or would like any further information.
