The nursery operates on a sessional basis with parents encouraged to enroll their child for at least 2-3 sessions per week in order to allow continuity.
The sessions run as follows:
8.00am Breakfast Club
8.30am Morning session begins
11.30am Morning session ends
11.30am Lunch for pupils staying all day
12.30pm (approx) Pupils return from lunch
1.00pm Afternoon session begins
4.00pm Afternoon session ends
Upon arrival at the Nursery, parents pass the care of their child to a member of staff who will acknowledge and welcome the child and record their attendance in the register at the start of each session.
During each session there are opportunities for adult-led and child-led activities and learning with a balance of time being spent indoors and outside in the wonderful Nursery garden. In the afternoons Nursery children and staff are frequently found exploring the 60 acre site, perhaps picnicking in the summer months; playing in the leaves in autumn; enjoying the snow in the winter and puddle jumping in the spring! Pupils also make daily use of our Preparatory School Hall for Physical and Creative Development.
The children enjoy a healthy, mid morning and mid afternoon snack in the Nursery café and at lunch time walk over to the dining hall with their teachers to enjoy a hot meal prepared by our award winning chefs.
