Nursery

Our Nursery welcomes children from the age of three. Located adjacent to the Preparatory School in the Clock House, children benefit from being part of the wider school community, making the transition to 'big' school easy and effortless.

In the Nursery, we implement a mixture of adult-led and child-initiated play, giving each child an opportunity to explore and experiment as they learn through play. We start to show them the benefits of having a routine, of tidying up, of having quiet time as well as playtime, so they learn how to communicate, share and take turns.

We have our own secure play area outside, as well as access to the beautiful grounds of the school, which provide great opportunities to go exploring in the fresh air in all weathers.

Our aim is for all children to move up into the Preparatory School with a positive and confident attitude to school and a thirst for learning.

To develop a secure and consistent foundation for the children and to ensure that children make good progress in their learning and development, all children who enrol in the Nursery must attend for a minimum of 3 full days per week.

The Nursery is in sessions from 8:30am until 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Breakfast Club is available daily from 8:00am (extra charge).

For more information or to arrange a visit please contact the Head of Nursery on 01626 331451 or our Registrar registrar@stover.co.uk.

A Quote from Stover

My best days are the ones where we go out with our wellingtons on and kick the leaves. Sometimes we go on an adventure and we take a picnic and sometimes we get muddy!
